He named this initiative as ‘Saturday-Sunday Love Feast’. That time, he used to invite the guests on his own. He used to cook and serve the pure vegetarian Indian food to all the guests. After this feast, he used to sing and give the classes on Bhagavad Gita.

From that time, this weekly festival is now celebrated in all the ISKCON temples.

At the ISKCON Sri Sri Radha Madhava Mandir, we celebrate this 'Saturday-Sunday Love Feast' with great service attitude and devotion.

Anyone can join us at ISKCON Sri Sri Radha Madhava Mandir for this festival with their loved ones. People can enjoy the aura and understand the actual meaning of life and spirituality.

Sunday Feast

Every Sunday is a mini-festival at all Hare Krishna temples worldwide. With delicious multi-course vegetarian meals, music and spiritual discussion (and occasionally, dance and drama), guests can experience the world’s oldest cultural tradition. The program provides an opportunity for anyone to learn about the lifestyle and culture of those who practice bhakti-yoga.

The Founder Acharya of the Hare Krishna movement, Srila Prabhupada, started the “Sunday Love Feast” in 1966. He would personally invite guests and cook the entire meal. He would serve the guests a variety of tasty Indian vegetarian preparations. Along with the vegetarian feast, Srila Prabhupada would chant with the guests, dance and give a lecture on the timeless sacred text, Bhagavad-Gita. Since then, a similar program has been continued in all the Hare Krishna temples around the world to this date.
